JASMINE BIGG

Owner/Coach

Jasmine is a 1st Class BSc Equitation Science (Hons) degree qualified individual, as well as BHS and UKCC Qualified. In previous years Jasmine has managed and taught at six different riding schools over Devon and Cornwall, this led her to wanting to startup her own riding school, plucking all the best bits from other riding schools and pulling them into one really great Devon riding school, with the most wonderful trekking and a fun place to learn!

Jasmine has competed in British Eventing for almost 10 years, up to Novice Level, and has broken in and schooled many different horses across the years, many of which now have competition homes across the country.  

For the last three seasons Jasmine has had a horse called Galando and together they have competed in affiliated eventing, with many wins during 2018 and 2019 in both BE80 and BE90 classes, featuring in Horse and Hound and British Eventing magazines along the way .

 

Jasmine was chosen to represent the South West in the British Eventing Regional Team Challenge 2019 in Shropshire where she was placed 4th Individual and contributed highly towards the South West being crowned the 2019 Rowen Barbery inaugural BE90 Regional Team Challenge winners.

Jasmine enjoys teaching all ages of riders from the very youngest to her older clients no matter what their ability!

Kirsty Kellaway

Head Girl/ Coach

Kirsty has a National Diploma and National Certificate in Equine studies and stable management with Distinction, as well as being BHS Qualified. Kirsty has over 23 years equine industry experience, including eventing, dressage, breaking, polo and riding schools teaching. 

Having worked all over Surry and Berkshire gaining vast experience, Kirsty is raring to go here at Garlands. 

Kirsty used to compete her horse Ria at Foxhunter (1.20m affiliated) and Newcomers level, but hasnt competed for 6 years due to loosing Ria, but hopes to get out competing again soon. 

Kirsty ran a livery yard on the edge of Great Windsor Park, where she played Polo at Royal Guards alongside Prince William and Prince Harry. Kirsty also spent some time working at the Queen's personal stables, The Royal Mews.

Kirsty enjoys teaching all the clients here at Garlands and is looking forward to taking more of you on your riding journey into the future. 

Jade McKenzie

Saturday Coach and yard staff 

Jade's lifelong interest in horses began in childhood, and as a child she was an active member of the Pony Club, of which she was very passionate about. 

Jade enjoys teaching and coaching all ages and abilities and really enjoys helping clients to develop their potential and to reach and achieve their goals with their riding no matter how big or small. 

Jade takes great satisfaction in passing her knowledge on to others and encouraging them to progress. 

Jade has a keen interest in show jumping and has competed at low level over many years with sucess.
